Airthings View Radon – smart indoor radon detector. The smart, easy-to-use View Radon, controllable via an app, offers continuous measurement of radon, humidity, and temperature. In addition, outdoor pollen information is available through the app. The clear 2.9″ ePaper display is customizable by the user and shows more information with a wave of the hand.
View Radon operates on batteries or a separate USB power supply (not included in the sales package). If a power supply is used, View Radon can function as a gateway/hub for other Airthings devices in the home.
View Radon can be connected to the home’s wireless Wi-Fi network and is managed with an easy-to-use and free app (Android/iOS). Wi-Fi enables the device to be accessed via the app from almost anywhere and at any time. Indoor air history data can also be viewed through the app.
Radon is an odorless, tasteless, and colorless radioactive gas classified as a carcinogen. After smoking, radon is the second most common cause of lung cancer. With the revision of the Radiation Act (December 15, 2018), the radon concentration action limit at workplaces and residential premises was lowered from 400 Becquerels to 300 Becquerels per cubic meter.
