The legendary Aerolatte French press combines a stainless steel frame with a carafe made from tempered glass, both of which are dishwasher safe. With a capacity of 1000ml/8 cups, the carafe features a handy scale on the side to help you measure how much water to add per cup.
Before brewing your coffee, swish a small amount of hot water in the press and discard it. This helps prevent thermal shock, keeping the glass intact.
Start by adding ground coffee (a coarser grind than filter coffee) to the bottom of the press, then pour in hot water just below boiling point (about 92-96 degrees Celsius). Stir the coffee-water mixture and let it steep for about 4 minutes. After that, press the grounds down using the filter.
With the French press, you can easily brew delicious coffee. Thanks to this method, the flavors of the coffee don’t get trapped in filter paper, allowing you to enjoy more of those delightful flavors in your cup.
