The Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono builds on the successful T1 model’s design, bringing improvements in sound quality and construction that challenge audiophile-level turntables in its class.
The foundation of the T2 Super Phono is a larger CNC-machined chassis than its little brother, made from high-quality materials, completely free of plastic parts. The technically precise design ensures a sturdy structure that effectively eliminates unwanted vibrations and resonances. The glass platter is thicker and heavier to achieve more stable speed and higher quality playback. The 9″ aluminum tonearm features updated low-friction precision bearings designed with increased length and diameter in mind. As a cherry on top, it comes with a factory-installed and adjusted Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge with an elliptical needle: this high-quality cartridge combined with an excellent turntable preamplifier offers enjoyable playback from vinyl records. Additionally, the Super Phono model includes an exceptionally high-quality, dual-stage split passive MM turntable preamplifier, which can also be switched off.
As is customary, it features an electronically controlled, high-precision AC motor, gold-plated RCA connectors, and a specially designed and effectively shielded Pro-Ject Connect It E turntable cable.
