Anker eufy SoloCam S340 outdoor security camera. The SoloCam S340 is a battery-powered security camera equipped with two image sensors, intelligent AI detection, and a solar panel. The camera connects to a wireless Wi-Fi network.
The special feature of the SoloCam S340 camera is its two image sensors (wide-angle and telephoto) and dual tracking feature with hybrid zoom. When using only the wide-angle sensor, the camera and recordings have a resolution of 3K, 2880 x 1616. However, through the app, it is possible to activate the telephoto sensor as well, allowing the app to display images from both sensors. In combined mode, the camera records at a resolution of 2304 x 2592 (the telephoto sensor alone has a resolution of 2304 x 1296). The camera also supports 8x hybrid zoom.
The camera operates with a built-in 10,000 mAh battery, and the battery life under optimal conditions can last up to three months. The camera comes with a separate 2.2 W solar panel, which can conveniently be attached to the camera body if desired. The solar panel eliminates the need for charging during sunny months. About two hours of daily solar charging is enough to keep the camera running day after day.
The camera supports both traditional motion detection and intelligent AI detection to send alerts and start recording. With intelligent AI detection, the camera can recognize people and pets. Thanks to the motorized body, the camera can automatically track the detected target (people, pets, this feature can be turned off).
By default, recordings are saved to the built-in 8 GB EMMC memory. However, the camera can also be connected to the S380 HomeBase 3 base station, allowing recordings to be saved there. Additionally, the camera supports the base station’s intelligent self-learning BionicMind motion detection. As a battery-powered camera, continuous recording is not supported, meaning recording only occurs when motion is detected by the camera.
Other features include a 100 lm LED spotlight. The light enables color images even in dark and dim conditions. However, the user can also choose to use traditional black-and-white IR night vision.
The battery life of the camera is significantly affected by operating temperature, wireless network strength, camera usage, and the number of motion detections. Three months of battery life is possible under optimal conditions with the camera recording a maximum of 300 seconds of footage per day. The camera does not come with a separate power adapter for charging the battery. Use a separate 5 V, 2 A USB power adapter.
