The Wiser optical smart smoke detector brings intelligent safety to your home. The smoke detector detects smoke as well as sudden temperature rises and alerts you with a loud signal. If the detector is connected to the Wiser system, it sends notifications directly to your phone via the Wiser app. With the Wiser app, the smoke detector can be integrated into smart home automation, allowing you to automatically shut off power outlets in the event of a fire, turn on lights, or set all home cameras to record events to a memory card.

The Wiser app also reminds you to test the smoke detector’s functionality at regular intervals. You can check the device’s status with a clear LED light, and if you want to temporarily silence the device (for 10 minutes), you can easily do so by briefly pressing the front of the device. The smoke detector can also be used without the Wiser app, functioning like a traditional smoke detector. It can be linked to other Wiser smoke detectors, providing alerts throughout the home if smoke or sudden heat is detected in any room.

A ceiling mounting plate, screws, and user manual are included. The device can be installed on a flat or sloped ceiling. The smoke detector has a built-in battery for verification, with a lifespan of approximately 10 years (non-replaceable).

*If you wish to use the smoke detector in the Wiser system, you must have a Wiser smart home system central unit. The central unit also provides support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant virtual assistants for the smoke detector.
