The Philips Avent SCD882 baby monitor helps you maintain a safe and secure A-FHSS connection to your little one at all times. It delivers clear audio and video on a 2.8-inch (7.2 cm) LCD screen, both day and night.

With its unique pairing between devices and Adaptive FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) wireless connection, you can enjoy a secure, protected, and interference-free link to your child. Upon startup, the camera automatically establishes a connection with the parent unit on an available frequency, independent of other devices. The adaptive frequency changes if another device tries to connect to the same band.

The high-resolution 2.8-inch (7.2 cm) color display clearly shows you what’s happening in the nursery, day or night. The camera automatically switches to infrared night mode based on ambient light, allowing you to see your little one even in complete darkness. While the camera requires a continuous power supply, the parent unit is completely wireless and rechargeable, boasting a battery life of up to 10 hours in night mode on a single charge. Alternatively, you can activate the ECO power-saving mode, which turns off the display while keeping the connection LED active. If there’s noise from the nursery, the display automatically turns back on.

You can also soothe your child through the parent unit with two-way audio communication or by playing one of four different lullabies or calming sounds. There are separate volume controls for the microphone sensitivity and the parent unit’s speaker. The camera can be rotated and tilted at various angles on its ball joint base, and it can also be wall-mounted if desired.

The child unit operates ONLY with mains power, while the adult unit can be used with both battery and mains power. The parent unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
