Durability Meets Design

Our chairs are designed to last. All parts are easy to replace, and when the product reaches the end of its life cycle, each component can be easily disassembled into clean material fractions for recycling. Major plastic parts are marked according to ISO 11469 standards, and all fabrics are Öko-Tex certified.

Over 90% of Backapp chair parts are locally manufactured in the Nordic countries.

• Lightweight stool primarily made from recycled plastic, easy to disassemble for recycling
• Base: Injection molded high-strength, low-flexibility black-gray fiberglass-ready PP (polypropylene) composite
• Ball: Injection molded with a soft TPE shell around a PP core, compressed onto a steel bolt. Rotating the ball adjusts the tilt movement during use—counterclockwise increases movement, while clockwise decreases it.
• Damping ring: The damping ring under the footrest is made from soft TPE rubber, ensuring smooth movement.
• Pneumatic cylinder: Stroke range of 260 mm / 10.2″ at 300 Newton pressure, capable of supporting individuals weighing up to 113 kg.
• Seat support with height adjustment: Injection molded extremely strong, low-flexibility fiberglass-reinforced PP housing with a lever for raising and lowering the seat.
• Seat top: Made from injection molded soft-touch, high-strength, high-flexibility PP. Flexible under the thighs and around the back edge for improved fit for different users. Ventilated and comfortably shaped to fit human anatomy.
