The Beurer FT58 ear thermometer is a convenient, safe, and hygienic solution for measuring fever. Temperature measurement is done using infrared technology. The clear display shows not only numbers but also visually indicates the measurement result with emoticons. If the measured temperature is below 38 °C, a smiling emoticon appears on the screen. If the measured temperature is 38 °C or higher, a sad emoticon appears. The device emits a sound signal when the measurement is complete and also provides informative sound signals about the measurement result. If the measured temperature is between 37.5 and 37.9 °C, two short beeps sound (indicating a slightly elevated temperature). If the measured temperature is 38 °C or higher, the thermometer emits a sequence of short, long, and three short beeps.
