REX Assembly Grease is a general-purpose grease for bicycles, made with a unique recipe that uses the same high-quality ingredients found in ski waxes and the Rex Domestique chain oil popular among cyclists. This gives Assembly Grease the well-known benefits of chain oil, such as extremely low metal-to-metal friction in applications, excellent film-forming ability, and protection against weather conditions. Assembly Grease is not based on industrial petroleum jelly but is manufactured at the producer’s factory in Hartola from the purest available waxes, petroleum jelly, and oils.
Assembly Grease has been tested in Finnish conditions for year-round use in all applications: headset bearings and other bearings, hubs, freewheels, suspension joints and bushings, as well as threads. The properties of Assembly Grease are enhanced by PTFE and perfluorinated waxes, along with a separate corrosion inhibitor. This provides better protection against rust, for example in headset bearings and bottom bracket bearings.
