Active Ion Hepa is a patented technology for a flow-through ionizing filter developed in Sweden. The filter is also manufactured at Wood’s factory in Sweden. The technology is based on a less dense filter material, allowing air to flow through the filter much more easily. This results in very low energy consumption and significantly quieter operation. Traditional filters force airflow through dense filter material, causing the filter to clog quickly. Additionally, airflow can get trapped in gaps between the filter and the device, resulting in less clean air. The clean air output of the AD20 equipped with the Active Ion Hepa filter is top-notch in the industry: 300m³/hour (CADR). SThe filter’s efficiency is based on a small positive charge given to particles during ionization, allowing them to adhere to the negatively charged surface of the filter as they pass through. Our filter is pleated, which means a significantly larger filtration surface area compared to traditional filters. The Wood’s AD20 hybrid device also features a washable coarse dust filter net that captures the largest dust particles from the incoming air.
