Shelly Bypass controller. The Shelly Bypass controller is compatible with Shelly Dimmer 2 and Shelly 1L relay controllers. A bypass is required if the relay controllers are used without a neutral wire and the minimum load requirement is not met.
Shelly Dimmer 2 or Shelly 1L relay controllers can be used without a neutral wire, but if this is done, the connected device must meet the minimum load requirements. Dimmer 2 requires at least 10 W from the connected device, and 1L requires 20 W. If the connected device does not meet the minimum load requirement, a Shelly Bypass must be installed in between.
Shelly smart home products support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant virtual assistants. In addition to these, several other smart home systems/platforms are supported (check compatibility for each product). Shelly products connect to a wireless Wi-Fi network and do not require a separate home automation controller to operate.
Note, installation must be performed only by a certified electrician. Compatible with Shelly Dimmer 2 and 1L relay controllers.
