On each turn, the active player rolls the dice. The outcome determines which areas produce resources. If a player has a village or city adjacent to that area, they receive cards. Afterwards, players can trade cards among themselves as they wish. Finally, the active player can use their cards to build new roads, establish villages at the ends of those roads, and upgrade villages to cities. Players can also acquire development cards that represent advancements in living conditions.
