The Thermexin boost valve module consists of an electrically operated boost valve and a control circuit board. This boost valve module is compatible with all Thermex “external motor” range hoods. This allows for enhanced suction during cooking. The speed selected on the range hood’s speed display indicates a specific duration for which the boost valve will remain open (for example, 1 = 15 minutes, 2 = 30 minutes, 3 = 45 minutes, and 4 = 60 minutes). It’s also possible to obtain a potential-free peak signal from the boost valve position for integration with a home automation system or heat recovery unit.

When a boost valve module is installed in a Thermex range hood, it can be connected to two different ventilation systems:

1. A unit-specific heat recovery device with a separate control panel. In this case, the range hood will feature an electrically operated boost valve that can be opened during cooking: 536.99.1401.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø125mm or 536.99.1403.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø160mm.
2. A central ventilation system in an apartment building, where the range hood’s exhaust can be enhanced during cooking. Here, the range hood will also have an electrically operated boost valve that can be opened during cooking: 536.99.1401.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø125mm or 536.99.1403.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø160mm.
