The Aerophone Brisa is a digital wind instrument that offers flutists and other wind instrument enthusiasts a new way to play. Its traditional flute shape and key layout combine with modern features such as a wide range of internal sounds and versatile customization options. Playing is natural and effortless, and the new sound engine highlights the articulations and techniques unique to wind instruments.
The Aerophone Brisa is a lightweight and elegant instrument designed for comfort and straightforward use. Flute-style, highly responsive keys and intuitive controls make playing smooth. The dual-sensor breath reading system, moisture strip, and adjustable mouthpiece allow for natural breath control suitable for players of all levels. In flute mode, octave shifts are achieved by directing breath to different holes, adding expressiveness to the performance.
The instrument features 100 internal sounds covering a wide range of flute family instruments, saxophones, clarinets, trumpets, as well as world music instruments like the pan flute and shakuhachi. Additionally, it includes synthesizers and drum sounds that expand creative possibilities. The Aerophone Brisa offers several fingering settings: flute, trumpet, and basic Brisa, suitable for different wind players and beginners. Right- or left-hand fingering options provide extra comfort for the player.
The new SuperNATURAL Winds sound engine utilizes Roland’s latest technologies to produce natural and dynamic tones. During play, the thumb and S1/S2 keys can be used to control harmonies and expressive effects. The integrated motion sensor adds vibrato, pitch bends, and other expressive nuances through physical movements. The harmony function automatically builds harmonies based on the selected key, and transposition enables playing songs with different fingerings.
The Aerophone Brisa includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that allows for approximately 9 hours of continuous play. A built-in near-ear speaker facilitates sound monitoring, and the stereo output (TRS mini-jack) enables connection to external sound systems or headphones. Via the USB-C port, the instrument functions as an audio/MIDI device with computers and mobile devices. Bluetooth 5.0 supports wireless MIDI data transfer. The Aerophone Brisa Plus app allows for parameter adjustments, saving favorites, and downloading additional sounds from Roland Cloud. A premium carrying case is included for easy transport of the instrument.
