The Boss XS-100 Poly Shifter is a powerful pedal-based pitch shifting device that offers a wide range of pitch modification options for guitar and bass. This device opens up new ways to express yourself through music, allowing you to smoothly slide the pitch up or down by up to four octaves with its smoothly operating pedal. You can also utilize preset tuning settings such as drop tunings and capo simulations, as well as enhance solos with a single footswitch press. The pedal’s internal DSP platform and finely tuned algorithms guarantee that the attack and tonal characteristics remain clear, even in complex chord and solo sounds. This makes pitch shifts balanced and pleasant to listen to, without the impurities typical of traditional pitch shifters.
The pedal features an ultra-smooth trigger that allows linear pitch adjustment over a four-octave range up or down. The integrated toe switch enables momentary pitch jumps, with adjustable range and timing. Additionally, fixed semitone settings over an eight-octave range allow quick tuning changes for drop tunings, capo effects, and special chords. The detune function adds rich doubling effects by fine-tuning the pitch by +/- 50 cents.
Users can adjust the pedal’s response curve and sensitivity according to their preferences. The toe switch and footswitch functions are fully customizable, providing flexibility for various pitch shifting needs. Furthermore, 30 memory slots allow saving and quick recall of favorite settings.
