The Ubiquiti U7-Pro-XGS is a ceiling-mounted WiFi 7 access point designed to deliver fast and reliable wireless connections for up to 500 users. The U7-Pro-XGS supports the WiFi 7 standard, enabling high-speed data transfer across three frequency bands. It delivers speeds up to 5.8 Gbps on the 6 GHz band, 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz, and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. With 8 spatial streams, it enhances wireless capacity and stability. Multi User MIMO technology allows multiple devices to connect simultaneously without slowing down the network.
The device features internal antennas with 6 dBi gain on the 6 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and 4 dBi on 2.4 GHz. Transmit power is 24 dBm (6 GHz), 29 dBm (5 GHz), and 23 dBm (2.4 GHz), ensuring solid signal range and quality.
This access point supports advanced features like wireless mesh networking, band steering, fast roaming (802.11r), radio resource management (802.11k), and BSS transition management (802.11v). These help maintain a stable network and smooth user experience even with many users or when moving around.
Security is enhanced with Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), guest network isolation, RADIUS support with TLS encryption, and dynamic VLAN assignment. Additional controls include WiFi scheduling, speed limiting, and device isolation for flexible and secure network management.
The U7-Pro-XGS has a single 10 GbE RJ45 port with PoE++ (4PPoE) support, allowing easy installation without a separate power supply. It can be mounted on the ceiling or wall using the included mounting kit.
The enclosure combines metal and polycarbonate for durability. Dimensions are 215 mm x 215 mm x 32,5 mm, and it weighs 800 g. The device operates reliably across a wide temperature range (-30 to 40 °C) and humidity levels from 5 to 95% relative humidity.
